    YES
The first (real) rain of the season, and I'm nearly done with my first stage of applications. This shit is draining, so the unexpected burst of rain was really quite nice. I decided that I absolutely hate promoting myself.

Finally back in California...good old Davis.
I'm not going to type much because I'm still tired after sleeping for 14 hours, plus this morning I got up to use the bathroom but my legs decided not to work so instead I crumpled onto my floor and as I fell my left hand hit/sliced this shard of mirror I have propped up near my wall.  Blood EVERYWHERE.  It was really cool and nauseating, and it didn't hurt really although my pinky is totally sliced at the base and I can't move it without more blood gushing out and I have a really emo looking cut on my wrist.

I'm glad for no more English Youth Hostel food...my body is so accustomed to fat and lard.  I think I'm going on a detox diet soon.
London was amazingly gorgeous.  It was really funny and coincidental because on the plane ride back, I watched V for Vendetta and was totally cringing on the part where he blows up Parliament.  American dudes can learn some important fashion lessons from British men, too.  Their style is, on the whole, impeccable!  I love it!

Anyway, check out this link to see the most amazing performance ever.
It's really worth seeing, especially the last two songs.  The Stellenburg Girl's Choir from South Africa was absolutely amazing, not to mention incredibly gorgeous.  Their director was hot too, but we discovered that the equally gorgeous man sitting next to him was not his brother but his boyfriend.  Man!
Check out the link.  I'm glad to be back.  Gimme a call 220-5193 and if I'm not asleep, yeah....

    Wild ANIMALS merowr
At 3 am I wake up and hear these little footsteps on the roof. I freak out, sure that someone (maybe those aliens from "Signs" is sneaksing around up there) and look outside to see a FAT RACCOON crawling down to the fence. He looks right at me with his awesome striped face and then turns around and goes right back up on the roof. I run outside and snap this superbly high quality picture...

I've devised an amazing new way of eating Nerds: pouring a pile onto my desk, then separating the colors with my eyes and ingesting all one colour at once (colour colour colour).

    Anyway...
Everyone should come to the Madrigals "Farewell" Concert at Saint James at EXACTLY SHEVEN OH CLOCKS. See men in tights! And women in ridiculously large skirts!

Come hear the singing group of your wildest dreams along with their hot female counterparts from Advanced Treble Choir before they disappear off the face of the earth (aka fly away to a magical Welsh village place)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus, it is FREE. GRATUIT. LIBRE!
So do it. For good ol' fun. Also I do believe there is a reception afterwards.

I gave up sorting my Nerds and now am simply ingesting them straight off my desk with my tongue. A RAINBOW OF FLAVAS.

hopefully no one snitched it out of my purse during WEF. And turned it off. Grrrr.

On the bright side, i saw the coolest accordeonist EVER, he's basically a God of some sort. And fire dancers. Ay ay ay!

    Opera and COLLEGE LOL
I must see Puccini's "La Boheme", soon, now! I've fallen in love with it. It's five billion times better than "Rent," which is a blatant ripoff (except everyone's got AIDS rather than TB!).

I went to a college fair today, which only further confuzzled me. I'd like to go to Berkeley, but i'm afraid it's only because it's so well situated. It seems very bearaucratic and the strong departments don't seem to suit my interests....mmmahamghg. At this point, my unattainable dream college is Stanford, and in terms of realities, I've got:
    USC
    Pomona (scripps?)
    UCLA
    UCSC (mehh)
    UCSB
    Whitman
    UPS
    Reed (no music performance major....)

alright, someone PLEASE tell me that that huge "Wal-Mart Supercenter Coming Soon" banner on the corner of Covell and Pole line is just a joke

EDIT: it was a prank for April Fool's. I seriously doubted that to be possible but still, it was quite a surprise.

i wonder if our decade of adolescence (the 90's and early 2000's) is going to have a clear definition like Daisy's 1920s or Holden's 1950s.

i mean, we have no cool language or defining music. we just live in this mass conglomerate of "MTV" and bright signs and Britney. it seems like our culture has melded together too much to be defined by anything unique anymore.

    A Strange Dream
I was walking down the greenbelt with Pangelinan and her 6th period English class when suddenly an olive green Russian bomber plane flew overhead and dropped a dozen bottle-size bombs on us. Luckily I saw it coming and quickly ran into a side street to evade the bombs. These were, of course, nice cartoonish bombs, round, olive green, with fins on the back. Most of them didn't even explode upon hitting the ground. They just kind of sat there.

Then I was in an old-style European city, stone walled, seemingly empty except for me, Marie, Felix, and Morgan (?!?!?!?!). We were jumping from roof to roof of Notre-Dame style buildings and squeezing through narrow stone allies to evade the many bombs that the Russians were dropping from above. Then Morgan was injured by one so Felix, Morgan and I got into a bomber plane and flew it through that one arch that's in St. Louis. I said, "I feel much safer in this plane than in an airliner" and Felix said "that's because you're in control". Then I was on a cliff overlooking a beach and I was throwing the Ruskie bombs down to the beach where they exploded, sending water and sand high into the air like carbonated water.

    just out of curiosity...
i wonder how many Roe v Wade protesters had ever actually gotten or almost gotten an abortion?

i guess it just seems to me that it's all fine and good to be protesting against something when you aren't in that desparate/confusing position, but you can't tell someone who's been raped and can't have a kid, "you have to have this baby." that doesn't seem right to me.
